How can you tell the real Jesus from the fake Jesus?

So I am watching the episode of Community where Abed portrays a Jesus like character and Shirley is freaking out because everyone is treating him like they would if he was really Jesus. Her sole mission the whole episode is to stop him because she thinks he cant be the son of God.

Who’s to say that in the context of the show that Abed really isn’t Jesus?

I feel like if there were a second coming that most people especially Christians would treat the situation the same way that Shirley did. If you think about it, a lot of people that come out and say they are Jesus end up being looked at with eyes of disgust. Ridiculed with pointed fingers and labels like delusional or crazy. They end up being thrown in to mental wards or turned away from as we walk the streets every day. But Why?

Who’s really to say that one of the “strange” “delusional” people aren’t Jesus? I know that a lot of cults leaders take it upon themselves to say they are this prophet and end up being false. This would tend to sway the minds of anyone that hears the words of Jesus on the streets. The person claiming to have been resurrected.

Just because an individual or an organization doesn’t believe someone to be who they are doesn’t mean the person isn’t who they say they are. We look for answers to life on a daily basis but when someone is shouting the beliefs of hope or positivity in an language or religion and try to lead people on a better path, what makes them not Christ or Christ like?

Who’s to say the second coming of one of the most iconic figures in history wouldn’t be born into a different religion? It’s not like Jesus created Christianity. He brought forth an idea of hope and love and understanding and still to this day that messages rings out from every corner of the world, but it tends to fall upon deaf ears. Maybe if Jesus is reborn he or even she will have a new religion named after them. Jesus probably didn’t call himself Christ and maybe the word will evolve to something new.

But what do i know….its 6:30 in the morning and for some reason I just cant sleep. This could be the raving of a mad man typing on empty. If you end up reading this rant thanks! I am not the smartest or most enlightened but its nice to know that someone out there took the time to read something from a complete stranger without any prejudgements.
